Fire History

Amador County's Sierra Nevada foothills terrain has experienced recurring fire events in its oak woodland and chaparral zones. The 2015 Butte Fire (70,868 acres) was the most destructive in county history, destroying over 800 structures in the Amador and Calaveras county areas.
